Workshops and Events for Parents and Families
I offer a range of workshops and events for parents and families (new, expectant and old hands all welcome). Numbers are kept low at all my sessions to ensure there is time for everyone to ask questions and get the most from them.
Young children are welcome to attend any of my daytime workshops. However, please bear in mind that it is a learning environment and you may not get the most out of the session if your child requires lots of your attention. You also remain responsible for your child at all times.

Choosing Childcare with Confidence

Finding the right childcare can often feel like an uphill struggle, adding to the stress and guilt many parents feel about returning to work. With over 20 years’ experience working in Early Years, including managing nurseries, advising childminders and as a private nanny, I draw on my professional knowledge and experience to help you gain understanding of the childcare choices out there. By the end of this workshop I aim to give you the knowledge and confidence to feel empowered to make the right childcare choice for you and your family.

In this workshop I cover:
-
How childcare is regulated
-
Where and how to find childcare
-
The types of childcare on offer and the differences between them
-
Things to consider when deciding which childcare setting is right for you and your child
-
Government support to help pay for childcare
